The New York Jets’ 2023 season was over before it started after Aaron Rodgers blew out his Achilles just four plays into the season, but everyone is excited about his impending return, especially with all the strong moves the team has made this offseason to fortify the offensive line and provide some more weapons for him to throw to.

With OTAs just around the corner, head coach Robert Saleh has addressed the questions atop everyone’s minds and provided insight into what Rodgers’ status will be heading into OTAs.

Jets analyst Harrison Glaser shared that Saleh said once phase three of the offseason program begins, they do not anticipate any restrictions for Rodgers and he will be 100 percent good to go.

Rodgers was not-so-secretly pushing hard to return toward the end of last season but ultimately did not since the Jets were out of playoff contention, so the news of him being ready for OTAs isn’t shocking.

However, it’s still an impressive recovery from an Achilles injury for someone of his age, and it’ll be exciting to know that he’ll have plenty of time to get on the same page with all the new members of this offense.

The offensive line was a major concern heading into last season, and it proved to be the team’s undoing right out of the gate, but fans have much more reason to be excited heading into 2024 after the team signed Tyron Smith and Morgan Moses in free agency while also drafting Olu Fashanu 11th overall.

We can’t wait to see Rodgers back on the field and put his disaster 2023 season in the rearview mirror.
