Romano Reveals: Key Talks Held Between Man Utd and Newcastle Star Amid Howe's Comments!n

Manchester United and Bruno Guimaraes’ Agent Hold Meeting

Sports transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that a discussion occurred between Manchester United representatives and the agent of Newcastle midfielder Bruno Guimaraes.

This revelation follows comments from Newcastle manager Eddie Howe, who addressed the rumors during a press conference, insisting that Guimaraes is fully dedicated to the club.

Howe attempted to downplay the talk of Guimaraes being in negotiations with United, clarifying that although Romano did not claim the talks were advanced, he acknowledged the meeting’s existence.

“For me, it’s a nonsense story. Unwanted news, I suppose is the best way to put it. You don’t want your players distracted,” Howe commented, highlighting his intent to squelch the speculation.

Insights from Fabrizio Romano on the Situation

In a recent discussion on his YouTube channel, Romano stated that it is common for top clubs and prominent player agents to hold such meetings.

As Manchester United evaluates various midfield targets for the upcoming transfer window, these conversations may merely indicate initial explorations rather than any concrete plans.

“What I can confirm is that the meeting took place a few weeks ago, between Bruno Guimaraes’ representatives and Manchester United,” Romano explained.

He emphasized that United values its strong rapport with Guimaraes’ agency, noting, “Bruno is represented by one of the biggest agents globally, making these discussions routine for elite clubs.”

Romano also pointed out that while United has shown interest in Guimaraes, they are also considering other options, including Sandro Tonali and Elliot Anderson, as they weigh their midfielder acquisition strategy.

“There’s much to clarify before Manchester United ultimately selects their target. For now, Guimaraes remains a significant player for Newcastle,” he concluded.
