Many people feel that Marvin Harrison Jr. from Ohio State is the best wide receiver prospect in this year’s NFL Draft, but some would beg to differ.

Some of those who would beg to differ would say that Rome Odunze is the best WR available in this year’s draft crop.

Odunze has expressed plenty of confidence in his abilities, and when Jim Rome asked him what sets him apart from the other WRs in this year’s class, he said it’s his versatility, via Jim Rome on Twitter.

Odunze spent each of his four college seasons with the University of Washington, and this past season, he helped lead the Huskies to the College Football Playoff National Championship Game, where they lost to the University of Michigan.

He finished the year with 81 catches for 1,428 yards and 13 touchdowns, and he was named a consensus All-American as well as to the All-Pac-12 First Team for the second season in a row.

He also displayed some toughness and resilience when he played much of the 2023 campaign with a broken rib and punctured lung, although he didn’t admit he was dealing with those ailments until weeks after he had initially sustained them.

There are a number of teams with picks after the first three or four selections that badly need a game-changing wide receiver, starting with the Los Angeles Chargers and New York Giants, who are at No. 5 and No. 6, respectively.

With his solid build and route-running ability, Odunze could give any one of those teams a big-time threat downfield for many years to come.
