Baltimore Ravens tackle Ronnie Stanley has had a rough go of it in recent years in the injury department, and he was able to suit up for 13 games in 2023, which was the most he has played since signing his contract extension in 2020 that made him the highest-paid offensive lineman in the NFL.
Stanley recently opened up about where he is at physically and mentally ahead of the 2024 campaign, and Ravens fans should feel good about their star tackle’s health heading into an important year.
In a recent article in The Athletic, Stanley said that he has “been feeling more like myself than I have in previous years” and “to truly feel like that and be out there and just notice myself getting better every day and feeling more like my old self every day, it definitely makes me happy.”
It’s a great sign for one of the league’s most injury-plagued linemen, as Stanley has missed 36 games over the past four seasons and has never started more than 15 games in a season.
He also just turned 30, so there should be plenty of treads left on his tires if he can get healthy, and the team will need him now more than ever with it’s championship window wide open following another Lamar Jackson MVP campaign and his first run to the AFC Championship game.
The team also signed Derrick Henry this offseason, so the power run game will certainly be a big priority in 2024.
Stanley is one of the best in the business, and hopefully, his injuries are behind him.
