After living up to and exceeding expectations last season, with the team reaching the NFC Championship Game and coming incredibly close to advancing to the Super Bowl, the Detroit Lions will face even higher expectations heading into the 2024 NFL season in September.

Fortunately for Detroit, the Lions have one of the most talented teams in the league on both sides of the football, even though the defense was a bit of an Achilles heel for the team last season.

With the defense needing some upgrading during the NFL offseason, Detroit prioritized adding a game-changer on defense during the 2024 NFL Draft, and they may have gotten a gem in the form of Terrion Arnold, formerly of the University of Alabama.

Arnold was dubbed one of the best defensive players in the draft, which was filled with talented players on the offensive side of the football, with an NFL record six quarterbacks being taken in the first round.

With Arnold in the mix at cornerback, the Lions have improved defensively, and he’s already seeing how different things are on the NFL level, taking to TikTok to talk about the team’s conditioning test.

“That conditioning test was no joke,” Arnold revealed on TikTok.

As long as the Lions can stay healthy and improve defensively, Detroit may be the team to beat in the NFC, along with the San Francisco 49ers, who got the best of them in the NFC Championship Game last year.

Only time will tell what is in store for the Lions, but the future looks bright in Detroit.
