Rory McIlroy Set to Compete in Hero Dubai Desert Classic: Ticket Information for Fans – Golf News

RORY MCILROY CONFIRMED FOR HERO DUBAI DESERT CLASSIC, HOW TO GET TICKETS - Golf News

Rory McIlroy has signalled his intention to defend his 2024 Dallah Trophy, officially committing to the 2025 Hero Dubai Desert Classic at the historic Emirates Golf Club on 16 – 19 January 2025.

Excitement is building amongst golf fans, as the World Number Three aims to become the first ever five-time winner of the Hero Dubai Desert Classic. Previously a tournament winner in 2009, 2015, 2023 and 2024, McIlroy will aim to lift the Dallah Trophy for the third consecutive time, and fifth overall.

By signalling his commitment once again to the Hero Dubai Desert Classic McIlroy will headline a world-class list of competitors at the prestigious Rolex Series event on the DP World Tour’s 2025 Race to Dubai schedule, which offers a $9million prize pool.

HOW TO GET TICKETS

The announcement comes as ticketing officially opens for next year’s event, with both FREE general admission tickets and a range of early bird hospitality packages available at www.dubaidesertclassic.com.

Situated in a prime spot between the ninth and 18th greens, the exclusive Dallah Lounge offers the best views of the world-class golfing action along with a premium food and beverage service throughout the day.

Guests also gain access to the Dallah rooftop for the ultimate spectator experience, offering 360 degree views of Dubai.

Early bird rates, available while stocks last, start at just AED 1,800 for a single day and AED 8,775 for the season and fans are encouraged to act quickly to secure their spot at this highly anticipated event, with hospitality packages selling out in record time in 2024.

RORY’S REMARKABLE COMEBACK

Last year’s spectators were treated to a thrilling finish, as McIlroy came into the weekend ten shots back before a stunning third-round 63 put him into the final group on Sunday.

He then turned a two-shot deficit into a four-shot lead with six holes to play in the final round – including bridies on the eighth and ninth, renowned as two of the most difficult holes at the Emirates Golf Club.

The Northern Irishman went on to win by one stroke and lift the Dallah Trophy for a record fourth time, moving ahead of fellow multiple Major winner Ernie Els’ trio of wins.

Rory McIlroy said: “I’m thrilled to be returning to the Emirates Golf Club for the 2025 event. This is a tournament I relish playing and continuing my run here by adding a fifth title would be really special and an ideal way to kick off 2025.

“The support we get in Dubai is always fantastic, it’s an incredible course with a great atmosphere, and I’m looking forward to what is always a competitive event.”
