Russell Wilson is now the starting quarterback of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

However, that doesn’t mean he doesn’t still have a relationship or two with some of his old teammates.

Recently, a video surfaced on social media of Wilson working out with a former wide receiver of his in Seahawks star D.K. Metcalf.

The two played together in Seattle for three seasons (2019-2021).

This is not a totally uncommon thing to see former teammates working out together in the offseason.

While in Seattle for three seasons together, Wilson helped Metcalf become an All-Pro player.

The duo linked up for over 3,000 yards in total and almost 30 touchdowns in their time together.

Metcalf’s best season of his five-year career came in 2021 when he caught 83 passes for 1,303 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Wilson will be throwing passes to the likes of George Pickens, Van Jefferson, rookie Roman Wilson, Scotty Miller, Quez Watkins, and Calvin Austin III in Pittsburgh.

Metcalf will be going into his third season catching passes from Pro Bowl quarterback Geno Smith.

Both the Seahawks and the Steelers have similar outlooks heading into the season.

Both play in very tough divisions and are quietly hanging under the radar.

They might end up being wild card teams in the end given the talent that each team has, as well as the brutality of both the NFC West and AFC North.

Still, this video should put a smile on the faces of Seahawks fans all over the place.

It might make them think of some pretty cool memories that were made between these two.
