Russell Wilson may no longer play for the Seattle Seahawks, but he’ll always be a part of the Seattle community.

The former Super Bowl champion stayed there for over a decade, and while most people thought or assumed he would spend his entire career there, life had different plans for him and his future.

Nonetheless, he hasn’t forgotten about the people who embraced him when he was an unproven player just entering the league.

That’s why he made the most of his recent visit, going with his wife, Ciara, to surprise patients and families at the Seattle Children’s Hospital.

The power couple was in the area as Ciara was going to perform at the Climate Pledge Arena, and the Hospital’s official account took to Twitter to thank them for their support and this kind gesture.

Wilson’s tenure with the Seahawks didn’t end on the best terms.

It seemed to be a bit of a power struggle between him, HC Pete Carroll, and the front office.

They eventually sided with their coach, sending him to the Denver Broncos.

There, he failed to prove his former team wrong, and he’s coming off the two worst years of his career.

Now, he’ll be under plenty of pressure to prove that he’s still got something left in the tank, this time playing for Mike Tomlin and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

But even if that’s not the case and this is the end for him, Wilson deserves all the credit and respect in the world for what he’s already accomplished on and off the field.
