Sabalenka Announces Romantic Relationship With Oakberry Co-Founder Frangulis

Aryna Sabalenka has ended speculation about her relationship after she seemingly revealed she was dating the co-founder of Açaí brand Oakberry Georgios Frangulis.

Sabalenka was recently in action at the Berlin Open, where she was forced to retire from her quarterfinal match against Anna Kalinskaya because of a shoulder injury. Before that, she was victorious in her first match since Roland Garros, beating Daria Kasatkina 6-1, 6-4.

At the start of the WTA 500 event in Germany, the World No. 3 participated in a “phone challenge” organized by the tournament, answering pre-planned questions, and the video was shared on the tournament’s official Instagram handle.

The first question in the challenge was about her favorite Instagram account. Sabalenka stammered before mentioning that it was her boyfriend’s before a screenshot of Georgios Frangulis’ profile popped up on the screen, all but confirming that they were a couple.

“Favorite Instagram account? Ah, it’s the account of my boyfriend or Vogue (laughing).”

The revelation is not a surprise. Sabalenka and Frangulis have been spotted multiple times with each other in recent months. Following her runner-up finish at this year’s Italian Open, the Belarusian star visited the Haad F1 Team, sponsored by Oakberry, during the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix together with her boyfriend.

They were seen walking intimately on race day. If that was not enough evidence that Sabalenka found love again following her breakup with her ex-partner, Konstantin Koltsov, who passed away in March, then her most recent vacation to Greece with Frangulis proved it.

Sabalenka is a brand ambassador of the global superfood brand Oakberry, which produces fresh açaí. She signed a two-year collaboration earlier in January before she went on to win the Australian Open for a second time.

The former World No. 1 is currently preparing for Wimbledon and hopes to recover from the injury she sustained in Berlin. The grass-court major begins on July 1st.
