The Sacramento Kings are looking to strengthen their depth as the upcoming season approaches. One player they are considering working out is veteran forward T.J. Warren. Warren would bring a veteran presence to the team and help bolster the Kings’ bench. Their lack of depth has been a concern since acquiring DeMar DeRozan earlier in the summer. Warren’s last stint was with the Minnesota Timberwolves last season, where he played in only 11 games after recovering from a foot injury that sidelined him for the previous season. He has struggled to regain his form from his time with the Indiana Pacers and Phoenix Suns.
Kings Plan to Work Out Veteran Wing, T.J. Warren
T.J. Warren’s Career Journey
Warren was once a reliable role player in the league. The Kings hope he can recapture that role for their roster. Throughout his career, T.J. Warren has averaged 14.3 points, 3.9 rebounds, 0.9 steals per game, and an effective field goal percentage of 53.5 percent. His best season was in 2017-18 with the Phoenix Suns, where he averaged a career-high 19.6 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.0 steals per game, and a field goal percentage of 49.8 percent. Warren also received Most Improved Player votes that season. In addition to the Suns, Warren has played for the Indiana Pacers, Brooklyn Nets, and Minnesota Timberwolves. Hopefully, he can secure a spot on Sacramento’s roster.
Other Players the Kings are Considering for the New Season
T.J. Warren is not the only player the Kings have their eye on for a roster spot. They are also interested in Jae Crowder and Nassir Little, who are scheduled to work out for the team soon. Crowder is a veteran presence who can provide leadership in the locker room. Little, on the other hand, is a younger player entering his fifth NBA season. If the Kings prefer a younger direction, Little could be a solid addition. It will be intriguing to see who the Kings ultimately sign to enhance their roster depth.
