Iron sharpens iron, and NFL teams know that.

That’s why veteran stars always make a positive impact on their young teammates, even if it is just by being there.

Aaron Rodgers isn’t the exception to that rule, and his presence forces every single New York Jet to step up and be at their best.

With that in mind, CB Sauce Gardner admitted that practicing against Rodgers was actually very frustrating as a defensive back.

Talking to Chris Long for his “Green Light” podcast, he stated that Rodgers didn’t give you many chances to intercept him.

He might give you one chance on the first day of OTAs and then not another for weeks.

Gardner raved about his throwing skills and how he could place all throws perfectly.

More than that, he was in awe of his confidence, stating that he wanted to apply that to himself.

Gardner claimed that you didn’t need to be a veteran to have that kind of confidence in your game, and that’s why he’s tried to make the most of his days with Rodgers.

Gardner is already an elite defensive back and one of the best defensive players in the game, and getting to practice with who might be the most accurate passer we’ve ever seen is only going to make him even better.
