Sauce Gardner’s comments spark debate on which is more challenging: golf or football

Sauce Gardner sparks debate whether golf or football is harder

New York Jets star cornerback Sauce Gardner, who was elected to the Pro Bowl team in 2023 and was awarded First Team All-Pro honors, has been setting golf Twitter on fire recently as he’s started to fall in love with the game.

He’s asked for advice, he’s taken swing tips and on July 4th posted that he’s upgraded to TaylorMade clubs.

On Wednesday, Gardner took to Twitter/X to express his feelings on the difficulty of the two games.

“Never thought I would say this, but golf is harder than football,” his post read.

As you’d expect, this sparked a lively debate on social media.

Cantlay to the NFL?

So true. Sauce could never win a PGA Tour event. But give him a few months practice and I have no doubt Patrick Cantlay could be an All-Pro NFL cornerback. https://t.co/RxKQZ6FPPw
