Scottie Scheffler leads in various PGA Tour categories in 2024

PGA Tour categories where Scottie Scheffler ranks first in 2024

Scottie Scheffler’s 2024 PGA Tour season will go down in the record books as one of the best.

In fact, he entered rarified air this year, drawing comparisons to some of the best seasons ever by one of the best golfers, Tiger Woods.

Scheffler remains atop the standings in the Official World Golf Ranking. He finished the year first in the FedEx Cup standings after winning the Tour Championship. He’s leading the U.S. team standings for the upcoming Presidents Cup.

Aha. Found one. He’s second to Xander Schauffele in the latest U.S. team standings for the Ryder Cup.

All kidding aside, that’s one of the few things Scheffler is not No. 1 in 2024. Here are the main categories where he did finish first.

PGA Tour stats guru Justin Ray has a good one.

Fewest days between 1st and 13th career PGA Tour wins, since 1960:

  • Scottie Scheffler: 931
  • Jack Nicklaus: 1,029
  • Tiger Woods: 1,113
  • Johnny Miller: 1,225

“It’s been a great year. I’m proud of the results,” Scheffler said after the Tour Championship. “It’s something I try not to focus too much on, but at the end of the day, being able to win tournaments is a great feeling, and it’s what we work towards, and to be able to have as many wins as I have this year is really special.”
