The Denver Broncos have been one of the most discussed teams in the NFL over the past few months. After struggling to gain traction in the 2023 campaign, many have wondered what Sean Payton was going to do to improve this team. They took a chance on Bo Nix in the draft, who will now be their Week 1 starter at quarterback. It seemed like the Broncos thought about trading away Courtland Sutton, who would have been one less target for Nix. While Sutton was mentioned in trade talks, Payton recently indicated that the team didn’t get close to trading him.

Some people believed that the Broncos would trade away Sutton in a deal for Brandon Aiyuk. Aiyuk was reportedly frustrated with the San Francisco 49ers, but they eventually signed him to a massive contract extension. He will now be with the team for the foreseeable future, leaving the Broncos without a superstar WR1. They do have some receivers they are confident in, but for the most part, the Broncos don’t have a strong corps of pass-catchers.

It will be up to Nix to make the players around him better, something that can be a difficult task for rookie quarterbacks. Does he have what it takes to bring the Broncos back to the playoffs, knowing the roster he has around him?
