The Seattle Seahawks have stormed into the 2024 season, boasting an impressive 3-0 record.

Under the guidance of new head coach Mike Macdonald and offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb, the team’s offense has been firing on all cylinders.

Yet, despite their hot start, concerns linger about the offensive line’s performance, particularly in pass protection and run blocking.

In an effort to address these issues, the Seahawks are exploring their options.

ESPN’s NFL analyst Field Yates recently reported that the team hosted veteran offensive tackle Jason Peters for a free agent visit.

The 42-year-old Peters, who played eight games with Seattle last season, could be eyeing a potential reunion with his former team.

The Seahawks’ offensive line woes stem from a series of setbacks.

Abraham Lucas, a key player, remains on the Physically Unable to Perform list following a knee procedure last winter.

Compounding the problem, Lucas’ primary backup, George Fant, landed on Injured Reserve over the weekend.

This unexpected turn of events thrust McClendon Curtis into action. The team’s other options, rookies Michael Jerrell and Sataoa Laumea, have yet to see game time this season.

While Stone Forsythe has stepped up admirably in his starting role, the Seahawks clearly need to shore up their depth.

The potential signing of Peters, though not confirmed, would provide a valuable insurance policy for the offensive line.

As the season progresses, all eyes will be on how Seattle navigates these challenges.

Their ability to maintain their winning streak while addressing these personnel issues could very well define their 2024 campaign.
