Serie A Manager Refuses Manchester United Job, Citing Chaos – Report

“Intellgent” Serie A manager will not “go into that mess”, “rules out” United job - report

Italian journalist Gianni Visnadi has indicated that Inter Milan boss Simone Inzaghi is unlikely to consider taking the Manchester United job.

Speculation around Erik ten Hag’s position at United has been rife in recent weeks as a result of the club enduring their worst-ever start to a Premier League season.

Despite splashing around £200m on new players during the summer transfer window, United currently sit in 14th place in the standings, having won just two of their opening seven Premier League matches.

As Ten Hag comes under increasing pressure, it has been suggested that a change in the dugout could happen very soon.

A number of replacements have been linked to the Dutchman’s job including Thomas Tuchel, Thomas Frank, Massimiliano Allegri, Graham Potter, Gareth Southgate and of course, Inzaghi.

A previous report covered by The Peoples Person relayed that Inzaghi was offered the Old Trafford hot seat with “immediate effect”, which would have seen him assume the role during the ongoing October international break. However, the Inter boss is believed to have turned down the opportunity.

David Ornstein subsequently stated that this was not the case and Inzaghi had not been presented with such a proposal.

In fact, Ornstein said that Inzaghi was “slightly surprised” when he became aware of such rumors.

Journalist Gianni Visnadi has now claimed that it’s highly unlikely that the 48-year-old tactician would consider succeeding Ten Hag as he’s very happy at the San Siro.

According to Visnadi, another major hurdle is that Inzaghi does not speak English.

The journalist insisted (via SportWitness), “I don’t rule out that United might think about Inzaghi, who is one of the best European coaches, but I rule out that he might consider United.”

“Furthermore, he doesn’t speak English.”

“The last thing an intelligent guy like the Inter coach can do is go into that mess and not speak that language.”

United will be back in action after the international break when they face off against Brentford, Fenerbahce and West Ham in quick succession.
