Seven Americans Reach Wimbledon's Week Two, Most Since 2004

Americans are off to a flier on week one at Wimbledon. Seven American players – four women and three men – have advanced to the Round of 16 in singles at the Champions, which is the most total Americans advancing to the second week at Wimbledon since seven also did the trick in 2004.


Here are their next missions at Wimbledon, listed by seed:

No.2-seeded Coco Gauff faces No.19-seeded Emma Navarro in the round of 16 on Sunday. No.11-seeded Danielle Dollins faces Barbora Krejcikova on Monday.

No.12-seeded Madison Keys faces Italy’s Jasmine Paolini on Sunday.

No.12-seeded Tommy Paul faces Roberto Bautista Agut on Sunday.

No.13-seeded Taylor Fritz faces Alexander Zverev on Monday.

No.14-seeded Ben Shelton faces Jannik Sinner on Sunday.

No.19-seeded Emma Navarro faces No.2-seeded Coco Gauff on Sunday.
