Shohei Ohtani is a sensation unlike any baseball has ever seen, and he delighted crowds on Tuesday as he arrived at the ballpark in Arlington for the All-Star Game.

The Los Angeles Dodgers star recently accepted his 2023 AL MVP award in the company of his dog, who he introduced to the world as Decoy.

Now, his best friend is in the limelight at the Midsummer Classic.

MLB posted a video of its biggest star walking the red carpet to the All-Star game with a slightly different suit.

When Ohtani opened the jacket, multiple images of Decoy were revealed in the lining.

Ohtani said through an interpreter that the color of the suit was based on his dog, and that led to having images of the canine emblazoned on the jacket lining.

The Dodgers are all over this connection and have an Ohtani-Decoy bobblehead night scheduled for August 28.

The slugger and star pitcher is a two-time MVP, a four-time All-Star and was named Rookie of the Year when he made his MLB debut after playing in Japan.

Ohtani is not pitching in 2024 as he recuperates from surgery, but he is hitting at a torrid pace.

The Dodger leads the NL in runs, home runs, slugging percentage, OPS and total bases at the season’s traditional midpoint.

And he is batting a career-high .316.

He will unquestionably be one of the brightest stars to step onto the diamond at Globe Life Field in Arlington, and fans will be treated to a special sight.

In one small way, as demonstrated by his love for Decoy, Ohtani is proven to be an ordinary guy along with a baseball superstar.
