Shohei Ohtani’s Impressive Power Numbers in 2021

Shohei Ohtani Has An Amazing Power Stat Since 2021

The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the New York Mets in Game 3 of the National League Championship Series.

The Dodgers hit three home runs in the 8-0 victory, including a three-run shot from superstar Shohei Ohtani in the eighth inning.

Ohtani has struggled a bit in his first MLB postseason, but he does have a home run in each of his first two series thus far.

Over the past four regular seasons, Ohtani has hit 178 home runs, and he now leads baseball in an impressive stat.

“Shohei Ohtani has hit 23 home runs at 115+ MPH since the start of 2021, the most in the Majors in that span,” according to Sarah Langs, via MLB on X.

The two-way player has not pitched at all in 2024, and this could have contributed to his spike in offensive statistics as the Dodgers DH this season.

His regular season stats include a .310 batting average with 54 home runs, 130 RBIs and a 1.036 OPS.

He is not only hitting a lot of home runs, but he is hitting a lot of hard and far home runs.

Ohtani came to the Dodgers after playing his first six MLB seasons for the Los Angeles Angels, who never made the playoffs while he was on the team.

It is most likely a bit of an adjustment for Ohtani in the 2024 playoffs as teams are throwing their best pitchers and picking and choosing matchups more than they would in the regular season.

The Dodgers are looking to get back to the World Series for the first time since winning it in 2020, and Ohtani is doing his part thus far.
