Shohei Ohtani’s Remarkable Statistical Output Since September 19th

Shohei Ohtani Has Unbelievable Stat Since Sept 19th

The National League Championship Series is underway between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Mets.

Game 1 took place on Sunday, and the Dodgers blew out the Mets by a final score of 9-0.

Shohei Ohtani has been the center of attention in baseball news for most of the season, and he will likely win the National League Most Valuable Player award.

Ohtani has been on fire as of late, and he seems to be coming up with clutch hits every time runners are in scoring position.

According to MLB Network on ‘X,’ Ohtani has an incredible stat line since September 19th with RISP.

In 21 plate appearances with RISP since September 19th, Ohtani has a .842 batting average with 8 extra-base hits, 24 runs batted in, 1.895 slugging percentage, and a 2.752 on-base plus slugging percentage.

This stat line is almost not even believable, but it shows just how clutch Ohtani has been over the last month.

He was held in check compared to these standards in the NLDS against the San Diego Padres as he had 4 hits in 20 at-bats with 1 home run, 4 runs batted in, and 10 strikeouts.

Playoff baseball is different from regular season baseball due to teams throwing their best pitchers and going to their high leverage arms in the bullpen early and often.

Ohtani still had a respectable series in the NLDS, and he was able to start off the NLCS on a good note.

In game 1 against the Mets, Ohtani had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 2 runs scored, 1 run batted in, and 1 walk.

He will look to keep up the hot bat in game 2 on Monday.
