Jannik Sinner is still on top of the ATP rankings despite crashing out of the 2024 Wimbledon Championships in the quarterfinal stage.
The Italian dropped 320 points for failing to defend his semifinal points from last year, but he has a cushion over second-placed Novak Djokovic and third-placed Carlos Alcaraz with 9570 points.
Djokovic’s trophyless start to 2024 continued after losing the Wimbledon final to Alcaraz, but he retained his spot in the top two. The Spaniard successfully defended his title at the All England Club and can have a clear sight at the World No. 1 ranking when the North American hard-court swing begins.
Less than 500 points separate Alexander Zverev in fourth and Daniil Medvedev in fifth. Despite withdrawing during the event due to injury, Alex De Minaur rose three places to a new career-high ranking of World No. 6 after reaching his first Wimbledon quarterfinal.
There are no new entrants into the Top 10, but Andrey Rublev fell two places to eighth, while Casper Ruud is down in ninth. Taylor Fritz‘s quarterfinal run took him above Stefanos Tsitsipas to 11th.
Italy’s Lorenzo Musetti, who reached his first Grand Slam semifinal, motors to the 15th spot. Holger Rune, meanwhile, who reached a career-high ranking of No. 4 at this time last year, finds himself on the precipice of a Top 20 exit (17th).
French teenager Arthur Fils makes his Top 30 debut (28th) after reaching the fourth round of Wimbledon, while countryman Giovanni Mpetschi Perricard, one of the breakout youngsters of 2024, also advanced into the same stage as a lucky loser. The 20-year-old is now a Top 50 player (44th).
Roman Safiullin cascades 23 places to 67th, but Emil Ruusuvuori‘s ranking is moving on an upward trajectory after a shock second-round win over Stefanos Tsitsipas (up to 70th now).
