Sinner Discusses Relationship with Kalinskaya Following Victory in Halle

Jannik Sinner didn’t initially rush to confirm his relationship with Anna Kalinskaya, but he’s not shying away from mentioning her as he did during his 2024 Halle Open trophy speech.

Sinner and Kalinskaya were rumored to be dating not too long ago, and they confirmed it after multiple questions from the press arose. They immediately became tennis’ most-followed pair, and fans are showing interest in their relationship.

Kalinskaya has been in the media before for her relationships, most notably with Nick Kyrgios years ago. On the other hand, the world no. 1 player on the ATP Tour has generally been quite privy about his life outside of tennis, so this relationship is certainly something new for him.

Despite the privy approach by both, Sinner doesn’t seem shy about talking about his girlfriend from the WTA Tour. He mentioned her quite openly during his Halle Open trophy speech, where he shouted her out for a very good week at the Berlin Open.

Kalinskaya faced Jessica Pegula in the Berlin Open final, but she failed to use five match points to win the title. It was a heartbreaking loss for the Russian, but Sinner sent her some love during his speech after beating Hubert Hurkacz in the Halle Open final.

“My girlfriend Anna, she played in Berlin today, she lost with six match points, so I’m very sorry for her, but……she also had an amazing week.”

It would be a cool moment to have for them to win trophies in the same week, similar to how Katie Boulter and Alex de Minaur did it the previous week. Sinner and Kalinskaya nearly did it this week, because the Italian did his part by beating Hurkacz in the Halle Open final, while Kalinskaya was one point away.

Still, the Russian was content with her week. It’s good to see her back on the courts. Injuries in the past kept her away from the sport for a while, but now she’s back.
