Sinner Prioritizes Quality in Scheduling Disagreement with Alcaraz

Sinner Chose Quality Over Quantity Amid Alcaraz Scheduling Disagreement

Jannik Sinner is currently in China for the China Open in Beijing, where he shared his perspective on the tennis calendar compared to fellow player Carlos Alcaraz.

Sinner acknowledged the length of the tennis calendar, spanning from early January to late November or early December, and highlighted the physical demands it places on players. Despite the challenges, Sinner emphasized the choices players have in selecting events.

Reflecting on his own schedule, Sinner expressed satisfaction with the balance he achieved between matches and tournaments, allowing him to maintain his physical condition effectively.

This season has been amazing, no? I’ve had a lot of wins and played a lot of matches, with not many tournaments in my schedule, which allowed me to practice my body in the right way. Look, I’m just very happy to be in the position where I am right now.

Despite being strategic with his schedule, Sinner looks ahead to upcoming tournaments like the ATP Finals and Davis Cup, aiming to build on his current success.

The season is not over. There are some very important tournaments coming up, so hopefully, I will be ready. One of my main goals now is the year-end finals in Turin, and this is a very special tournament for me. After that, there is the Davis Cup and so many things to come. I’m happy, but we still try to improve even in the last part of the season, and then we will see how it goes.
