Reigning US Open winner Jannik Sinner won his 19th match in a row on Thursday in Indian Wells, California, easily defeating Jiri Lehecka 6-3, 6-3.

Needing one hour and 25 minutes to advance, Sinner will next face Carlos Alcaraz or Alexander Zverev.

Elsewhere, American Tommy Paul continued to roll in the event, dismissing Casper Ruud in three sets.

On the women’s side, top seed Iga Swiatek advanced when former world No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki was forced with withdraw trailing 6-4, 1-0. Swiatek will next face Marta Kostyuk for a place in the finals.

Kostyuk won a topsy-turvy encounter against Anastasia Potapova 6-0, 7-5.

Friday’s action in Palm Springs will feature the women’s semifinals.
