Jannik Sinner will face compatriot Lorenzo Sonego at the 2024 Madrid Open, with both aiming to win this all-Italian derby.

He’s focused on the Madrid Open, and he has to be because the first match will be tricky. Sonego might not be a Top 10 player, but he’s a capable player who can do a lot of damage on his day. He has a good serve and quite a bit of power, which could create problems for his compatriot.

So far, Sonego hasn’t been able to create many problems for Sinner because the younger Italian won all four of their matches. He’s only dropped a set once, and it happened on grass last year.
