The Philadelphia 76ers plan to waive Kenneth Lofton Jr., who is currently on a two-way contract.
Lofton, a robust forward/center, went undrafted in 2022 but later secured a two-way contract with the Memphis Grizzlies before being converted to a standard deal at the end of his rookie season in 2022/23.
Following a roster crunch in Memphis, he was released in December and subsequently signed a two-way deal with Philadelphia.
Despite averaging 5.0 points and 2.1 rebounds in 24 games during his rookie season, Lofton has faced challenges this season, averaging 2.4 points and 1.1 rebounds while shooting 34.9% from the field in 17 games split between Memphis and Philadelphia.
