The Dallas Cowboys’ home-field advantage seems to be slipping away. AT&T Stadium, once a fortress of victories, has become a house of horrors for America’s Team.

Sunday’s clash with the Detroit Lions ended in a crushing 47-9 defeat, leaving fans and analysts alike scratching their heads.

The Cowboys’ 2024 season hit a new low as they stumbled into halftime trailing 27-6.

It’s a scene that’s become all too familiar in Dallas lately. Even Skip Bayless, the team’s most vocal supporter, couldn’t hide his frustration.

“I just had to watch the fourth straight Dallas Cowboy home game in which they were blown out by halftime. Annihilated, humiliated, and I have been devastated having to watch the team I grew up loving play like this, embarrass us all like that,” Bayless vented.

He then posed a pointed question: “And I ask you how, in the name of Thomas Wade Landry, does Mike McCarthy still have a job?”

Bayless didn’t stop there. He took aim at Jerry Jones, the team’s owner, suggesting McCarthy’s job security stems from their friendship.

“Jerry! How do you not fire McCarthy? It’s because he’s your best friend, and maybe you’re only friend. Happy birthday, Jerry! 82! And I’m dying over here.”

The numbers paint a grim picture. In their last four home games, the Cowboys have been outscored 110-35 in the first half alone.

The slide began with a gut-wrenching playoff loss to the Packers and continued with embarrassing defeats to the Saints, Ravens, and now the Lions.

As questions swirl about the team’s preparation and performance, it’s clear that the Cowboys’ home-field mystique has vanished.

Fans are left wondering: has this once-mighty franchise lost its edge?
