The Dallas Cowboys are one of the most historically successful franchises in the National Football League.

It’s been a while since they’ve found success, but they’ve had some of the best players this game has ever seen leading the way for them.

Of course, that included the legendary Larry Allen, who passed away on Sunday while vacationing in Mexico with his family.

That’s why sports analyst and diehard Cowboys fan Skip Bayless took some time on Tuesday’s edition of “Undisputed” to give him his flowers and praise him.

Bayless recounted Allen’s unlikely journey to the NFL and how he could be considered to be the greatest draft pick in the history of the franchise.

That’s not much of a hot take.

He was taken in the second round of the NFL Draft out of Sonoma State, with the Cowboys overlooking a shoulder injury to get him.

His speed was unmatched for a player of his size and caliber, and his strength was also second to none.

Allen was inducted as a first-ballot Hall of Famer in 2013, not to mention a member of two All-Decade teams (1990s and 2000s), spending 12 of his 14 seasons in Arlington, becoming a fan favorite and a Cowboys legend in the meantime.

He was an 11-time Pro Bowler with seven All-Pro selections, excelling both at guard and tackle, and a key contributor to the team’s last Super Bowl win.
