Liverpool’s head coach Arne Slot has addressed the ongoing discussions regarding Mohamed Salah’s future and the possibility of him participating against Brighton this weekend.
“I plan to speak with Mo,” the Dutch manager indicated. “The result of that discussion will influence our lineup for Saturday.”
“After the Sunderland match, there were numerous talks between his agents and our team, as well as direct conversations with him,” Slot added.
Should Salah still start for Liverpool?
So far this season, Salah has not seemed to be performing at his peak level, as highlighted by various statistics indicating a decline in his contributions across key areas.
Despite his vast talent, there are concerns that at his current age, some essential attributes may be diminishing.
Throughout his career, the former Roma forward relied heavily on his speed and dribbling skills. As these qualities can fade with time, Slot’s contemplation regarding Salah’s place in the team may hold weight.
