Arne Slot Remains Confident Amid Liverpool’s Struggles
LIVERPOOL, England — Arne Slot has expressed that he is “not worried” about his role at Liverpool following a tough 4-1 defeat to PSV Eindhoven in the UEFA Champions League.
On Wednesday at Anfield, Liverpool suffered their ninth loss in 12 matches across all competitions, placing them 12th in the Premier League standings and 13th in the Champions League table.

When asked about his future with the club, Slot replied, “I’m not worried. My focus is on analyzing our performances and assisting the players, rather than on my job security.”
He acknowledged that while Liverpool has been making individual errors, those mistakes stem from collective team dynamics. “I recognize that I need to improve, and that’s what I strive for daily—to enhance the team’s performance,” Slot added.
Previously, Liverpool faced 3-0 defeats against Manchester City and Nottingham Forest in the league. This recent stretch marks the first time since September 1992 that they have conceded three or more goals in three consecutive matches.
Regarding his relationship with the club’s management, Slot stated, “There’s support, but it’s not constant reassurance. We engage in meaningful conversations when we’re winning, and they provide constructive feedback during tough times.” He noted that while he hasn’t yet spoken to management since the PSV match, he believes in the mutual trust established in their discussions.
