Soccer pundit Richard Keys proposes Roy Hodgson as necessary addition for Crystal Palace

Richard Keys has suggested Crystal Palace need Roy Hodgson

Football presenter Richard Keys has suggested that Crystal Palace should replace Oliver Glasner with former manager Roy Hodgson.

The Eagles are currently struggling to perform this season and they are sitting in 18th position in the league.

Glasner’s team are still without a win in the Premier League this season and questions have been raised about the future of the manager.

Palace have managed to win just three points in the eight matches they have played in the Premier League.

Although the manager has the support of the club, things can change quickly in football.

If a few results go against them, they could consider allowing the manager to leave and look for other options. One of the names mentioned in the media is David Moyes who is currently unemployed after parting ways with West Ham United at the end of last season.

Keys has suggested that Hodgson could be the man to do the job at Selhurst Park with his comments on social media.

He wrote on X:

In their upcoming matches, Palace will face Tottenham, Wolves, and Burnley in the Premier League, as well as Aston Villa in the EFL Cup fourth round.

Crystal Palace are missing Michael Olise this season

This run is going to be crucial for Glasner and his team and it could decide the future of the manager at the club.

It is a huge surprise to see Palace struggle this season considering how they ended last season and managed to finish in the top half of the Premier League standings.

The loss of Michael Olise has hit them hard and they have been unable to replace him. His goals and creativity made the difference for the South London club last season.

Palace’s new signings Ismaila Sarr, Daichi Kamada, and Eddie Nketiah have all failed to make an impact this season.

Gareth Southgate has also been linked with the Palace job but the uncertain future of Eberechi Eze, Adam Wharton and Marc Guehi could stop the English manager from joining the Premier League club.
