Protestors stormed the 18th green Sunday as the final group was lining up their putts at the 2024 Travelers Championship, and it caused a nearly 5-minute delay before Tom Kim hit a birdie putt to tie Scottie Scheffler and force a playoff.
The protestors had smoke and other items that left residue on the greens, forcing officials to clean up some of the mess before play could continue.
And as soon as it happened, social media went into an even bigger frenzy than when Kim nearly jarred his approach shot for eagle.
