Solheim Cup Pairings Announced by Captains
Solheim Cup captains Suzann Pettersen and Stacy Lewis have revealed their pairings for the opening morning of the tournament at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Virginia.
The first match will feature Team Europe’s rookie Esther Henseleit from Germany paired with England’s Charley Hull, facing off against Nelly Korda and Allisen Corpuz at 12.05pm (UK time).
At 12.17pm, Switzerland’s Albane Valenzuela will team up with France’s Celine Boutier to take on Rose Zhang and Lauren Coughlin in another exciting matchup.
Denmark’s Emily Pedersen and Sweden’s Maja Stark will join forces for Europe in the third match at 12.29pm, challenging the American duo of Ally Ewing and Jennifer Kupcho.
The final match of the morning at 12.41pm will see Sweden’s Linn Grant and Spain’s Carlota Ciganda going head-to-head with Lilia Vu and Sarah Schmelzel.
Pettersen’s Strategy for a Strong Start
European Solheim Cup Captain Suzann Pettersen is taking a more direct approach with her players this year, aiming for a better start than in the previous tournament.
