Spurs looking to acquire top tier point guards

Following yet another losing season, the San Antonio Spurs feel like they are ready add some superstar power to the team.

NBA insider Shams Charania reports that the Spurs are set to target every top flight point guard in an attempt to pair him with rising star Victor Wembanyama, who has shown his readiness to compete already in his rookie year.

“The Spurs are gonna be in play for legitimately every top flight point guard on the market.. Victor Wembanyama made it clear that he’s very ready to win right now,” Charania said on Pat McAfee Show.

This season San Antonio tried to engage in talks with the Atlanta Hawks regard former Spurs guard Dejounte Murray. Charania expects the Spurs to eye Trae Young should he become available as some reports suggest.
