Spurs Star Johnson Maintains Remarkable Performance Following Dragusin’s Red Card

Spurs star Johnson continues incredible form moments after Dragusin red

Brennan Johnson continued his incredible hot streak as he opened the scoring in the 12th minute of Tottenham’s Europa League clash with Qarabag on Thursday night.

The goal came as sweet relief for Tottenham just four minutes after Radu Dragusin was shown an early red card for dragging down Qarabag forward Juninho as he ran through on goal.

Johnson’s chance came thanks to excellent pressure high up the pitch from his Spurs teammates, with Dominic Solanke dispossessing Julio Romao before feeding the Wales international, who made no mistake with the finish.

Johnson has now scored three goals in his last three appearances for Spurs across all competitions, in the wake of deleting his social media profiles due to online abuse from supporters.

That’s as many goals as Johnson managed in his previous 19 Spurs appearances and the perfect way to silence his critics.

“A month ago Johnson would’ve missed that. He’s got three in his last three,” former Republic of Ireland striker Clinton Morrison told Sky Sports.
