St. Andrews Clubhouse Reopens After Largest Renovation in 100 Years

On Monday morning, the historic St. Andrews clubhouse reopened after undergoing the largest renovation in a century. The last major addition to the clubhouse was back in 1924. Players visiting the home of golf will now see a larger building with enhanced facilities, including an extended locker room space with women’s facilities, a new heritage lounge displaying historic architectural plans, a new members’ shop, refurbished trophy room, and a new golf concierge desk.

The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, a private club with over 2,400 members worldwide, celebrated the completion of the renovation. “The clubhouse renovation is the most significant enhancement we have made in 100 years, and we are pleased to have made these improvements while preserving its special character and appearance,” said Martin Slumbers, Secretary of The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews. “All members will now enjoy new and improved facilities that will enhance their experience when visiting and playing golf at St. Andrews.
