St. Louis chosen as host city for US Men’s National Team’s Nations League quarterfinal home match in November

St. Louis to host USMNT's Nations League quarterfinal home leg this November

St. Louis’ CITYPark has been chosen as the decisive home venue for the U.S. men’s national team’s CONCACAF Nations League home quarterfinal tie this November.

U.S. Soccer revealed the news on Monday just under two months until the match will be played. The match, which is scheduled for Nov. 18, will mark Mauricio Pochettino’s first competitive match in charge of the program.

“This competition is an important part of our preparation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup,“ Pochettino said. “As the holders, we want to defend this title and build this winning mentality.”

“I am aware of the big soccer history of St. Louis and its impact on the National Team, so the new members of the staff are looking forward to visiting the city for ourselves and experiencing the atmosphere at the stadium.”

The USMNT will be seeking a fourth-straight Nations League title after winning each of the opening three editions of the competition. The Americans’ trip to St. Louis will be their 13th after posting an 8-1-3 record previously across all competitions.

An opponent for the quarterfinal round has not yet been determined due to the group stage schedule still taking place. The USMNT will also travel on the road for the second leg in November as well.

First though, the USMNT will host Panama and travel to Mexico this October for a pair of friendlies.
