The Buffalo Bills started the 2024 NFL season strong, winning their first three games before a recent skid of two consecutive losses.

The Bills dropped games against the Baltimore Ravens and Houston Texans and now get a tough matchup in Week 6 against the division-rival New York Jets on “Monday Night Football.”

Buffalo’s offense has struggled mightily the past two weeks as quarterback Josh Allen is having trouble pushing the ball downfield.

The wide receiver room leaves much to be desired, so the team has tried to lean on its ground game to move the football.

Defensively, the Bills have been solid, though injuries have started to pile up in recent weeks.

Ahead of the game against the Jets, the Bills announced that star defensive tackle Ed Oliver will be out, according to Sal Capaccio of WGR 550.

This is the second game that Oliver will miss after injuring his hamstring in practice, a tough blow for the Buffalo defensive line.

Oliver is one of the best interior pass rushers in the league and is also a strong run defender, so his absence could be a massive boost for the Jets, who are looking to get their own offense on track.

Oliver has been unable to participate in practice, so his status for a short week against the Tennessee Titans is also up in the air.

Hamstring injuries are tricky because they are easy to reaggravate, so expect the Bills to hold out Oliver as long as needed.
