This past Sunday, LaLiga’s prominent figures gathered at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium for a groundbreaking NFL game featuring the Washington Commanders against the Miami Dolphins. This marks the first-ever regular-season NFL matchup held in Spain.

Prior to the event, the stadium received a significant makeover, showcasing the pride of Real Madrid.

Before kickoff, Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez and former coach Zinedine Zidane joined Isabel Díaz Ayuso, president of the Community of Madrid, and José Luis Martínez Almeida, the city’s mayor, for photos and friendly exchanges. Zidane also had the honor of tossing the coin to start the game.

Among the current players present were Atlético Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann, who is known for his love of American sports, and Koke. Additionally, Madrid defender Antonio Rüdiger attended the event.

Former Madrid forward and current Fenerbahçe player Marco Asensio was also seen at the game. Additionally, legends Iker Casillas and Guti, both retired, made an appearance, allowing Casillas to reconnect with Mexican legend Memo Ochoa.
