The Houston Texans aren’t here to mess around.

GM Nick Caserio clearly liked what he saw during the first year of the DeMeco Ryans era, so he decided to double down on this core of players by adding more talent to it.

The Texans made some big moves in the offseason, with the Stefon Diggs trade being the most significant.

They got him for nice value, although the trade became significantly less attractive once they restructured his deal to allow him to become a free agent after the season.

Nonetheless, it may have also worked like clockwork to motivate him to be at his best in what has now become a contract year.

As shown by Nick Schwager on Twitter, Diggs is putting in a lot of work and showcasing his speed on social media.

He’s been one of the most productive wide receivers in the game for years now, but he’s coming off a down year by his standards.

With Ken Dorsey gone, the Buffalo Bills stopped getting him involved in the passing game as often as they did, and their offense was actually more balanced and efficient without him.

He will now look to prove that he’s not done in this league and that he can still be a steady contributor to a high-volume offense.

There has been plenty of talk about his difficult character and whether he’s worth the trouble, so he must make the 2024 season all about football and putting up big numbers for his team.
