There have been some major injury updates on key players like Steph Curry, Alperen Sengun and Karl Anthony-Towns provided on Tuesday.

STEPH CURRY

Steph Curry avoided serious injury to his right ankle against the Bulls last week and instead sustained a sprain, which has kept him out for two games.

He is not expected to play against the Mavs on Wednesday, but the team provided an update and said he’s “making good progress”.

The Warriors will play the Lakers on Saturday night and it appears Curry could suit up for it.

“He has been cleared to resume on-court workouts in the Bay Area and is expected to join the team for practice in Los Angeles on Friday,” The Warriors said. “He will be re-evaluated again followings Friday’s practice.”

ALPEREN SENGUN

Up-and-coming Rockets center Alperen Sengun has luckily avoided serious injury after being wheeled off the court on the Sunday against the Kings.

“Sources tell me Alperen Sengun has suffered a Grade 3 right ankle sprain, he will miss several weeks… tremendous sigh of relief, but this likely ends his regular season,” NBA insider Shams Charania reported.

“It sucks, injuries are a part of the game,” Fred VanVleet said after Houston’s 112-104 win over Sacramento. “It is always tough to see your teammates go down. It was a scary-looking injury. A scary-looking fall.”

KARL ANTHONY-TOWNS

Karl Anthony-Towns went down last week with a knee injury and has since had surgery.

The team provided the latest update and when he will next be re-evaluated.

“Towns underwent successful surgery on a Left Knee Lateral Meniscus Tear. He will be re-evaluated in four weeks and further updates on his progress will be provided when available.”

This comes as big blow for the Timberwolves, who will without the big man right up until playoffs start.
