In a surprising revelation, sports analyst Stephen A. Smith has suggested that Damian Lillard is not content with his current situation in Milwaukee, despite joining the Bucks last summer.

Following Lillard’s departure from the Portland Trail Blazers, where he spent 11 years, the star player was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks, forming a formidable duo with Giannis Antetokounmpo.

During a segment on First Take, Smith shared his insights, expressing concerns about Lillard’s happiness in Milwaukee, particularly citing personal matters unrelated to basketball.

“If Milwaukee loses, I think you need to consider moving Dame up outta there… I’m not talking about his game. He’s not happy there,” Smith remarked.

Smith emphasized that while he believes in Lillard’s capabilities on the court, the psychological toll of being in a situation where he’s not content could impact him.

“Now he’s got a lot of distractions which are his business and we wish him nothing but the best. Nothing but the best. Because a lot of us wouldn’t be able to handle it as well as he’s handling it,” he continued. “But nevertheless, whatever support system that you’re looking for and I’m sure they got love for him and they try to support or whatever.

“But it’s one of those situations where if you are not happy in the situation, albeit because of outside reasons… that’s a lot to deal with. I’m not talking about his game because I believe in Dame. I’m talking about what he has to go through and psychologically how that situation may not be ideal for him.”

Lillard, who has been a key figure in the NBA for years, is currently averaging 24.3 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 7 assists per game this season.
