According to Chris Haynes, the Phoenix Suns’ front office opted against adding a point guard to the roster, despite head coach Frank Vogel’s desire for one.
The reasoning behind this decision was the concern that bringing in a point guard would reduce the ball-handling opportunities for Bradley Beal, Devin Booker, and Kevin Durant.
