Survey: Vote for Your USMNT October Squad

Poll: Choose your USMNT October roster

The Pochettino era has begun. U.S. Soccer officially hired the Argentine manager two weeks ago. His first camp will pit the U.S. (Elo #37) against Panama (#36) and Mexico (#21) in friendlies, though Pochettino said “friendlies are official” two weeks ago, signaling he will give a serious approach to every game between now and the 2026 World Cup on home soil. That approach will be important with so few chances for the USMNT to gather between now and then.

The nitty-gritty

  • The poll will stay up for 5 days. On Monday, we’ll close it, and post an article with detailed results (here’s a past example).
  • Sergiño Dest and Tyler Adams are unavailable due to injuries.
  • Dual-nationals like Luca Koleosho, Obed Vargas, and Noel Buck are *not* options, as none of them seem like realistic callups right now. I did include a few other dual-nationals who might not accept a US callup in Nathaniel Brown and Fidel Barajas.
  • The only positional restrictions are that you must bring exactly 3 goalkeepers and 20 field players. You could pick 11 centerbacks if you want (please don’t do that). It’s up to you to make sense of it.
  • I included 93 players as options, trying to include any player I thought would receive votes (Nathan Harriel and Cole Campbell are options). If there are players missing that you want to include, leave a comment and I’ll add them. There’s also an “Other” field on the form, but that only allows you to add one player who’s not already listed. Any players that are selected using the “Other” option will be added to the poll as quickly as possible.

That’s enough rules. Let’s see what your roster look likes! Make your picks, then hit the comments to let us know what other thoughts you have about it! Looking forward to seeing the results.
