Sunday’s action at the BNP Paribas Open featured top seed Iga Swiatek easily advancing over No. 26 seed Linda Noskova 6-4, 6-0.

The top ranked Pole will next face Yulia Putintseva for a place in the quarterfinals.

Elsewhere, No. 13 seed Jasmine Paolini and No. 28 seed Anastasia Potapova also reached the fourth round.

Former three-time Major Angelique Kerber continued her rich vein of form by defeating No. 17 Veronika Kudermetova 6-4, 7-5.

On the men’s side, defending champion Carlos Alcaraz cruised by Felix Auger-Aliassime 6-2, 6-3. The Spaniard will take on Fabian Marozsan for a place in the final eight.

Other men’s winners on the day included No. 3 seed Jannik Sinner, No. 10 seed Alex de Minaur and No. 32 seed Jiri Lehecka.
