Swiatek Shows Off New Sponsor-Provided Shoes in Honor of Roland Garros Victory

Iga Swiatek has been honored by her clothing and footwear sponsor, On, with a new pair of sneakers to celebrate her fifth Grand Slam title.

The Polish sensation was simply in a league of her own on Sunday as she demolished first-time major finalist Jasmine Paolini in the 2024 Roland Garros championship match. She won 6-2, 6-1 to bag her fourth crown at the clay-court Grand Slam.

Swiatek broke a few records with that success, having been in the pits at one point when staring at a match point in the second round against Naomi Osaka. But since escaping from that contest, she did not break a sweat.

The 23-year-old joins Monica Seles and Justine Henin in winning three French Opens in a row (2022, 2023, and 2024). She is also the youngest woman to win the Coupe Suzanne Lenglen four times.

With a long career ahead, Swiatek is tipped to break Chris Evert’s women’s all-time record of seven French Opens. The win guarantees her a spot at the 2024 WTA Finals, which will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

And Swiatek’s sponsors have flocked in numbers to congratulate her. One of those is Roger Federer ‘s-backed footwear company On, which has gifted the Pole a new pair of shoes with the message, “The one where she wins her 5th Grand Slam” sewn on it.

The World No. 1 shared the first pictures of the customized shoe on her Instagram account. The shoe is in plain white and features a black crown on the interior of the tongue. The Polish word “jazda” is engraved on the outer collar.

“Omg @On”

From the post, Swiatek was stunned, in a good way, while sharing her immediate reaction. With the grass-court season set to begin next week, maybe this could be her signature shoe for the next one and a half months on the lawns.
