The Houston Texans went from one of the worst teams in the league to a potential title contender in the span of one season, with the team striking gold in the 2023 NFL Draft, as C.J. Stroud, Will Anderson Jr. and Tank Dell have proven to be the real deal.

As if bringing in Stroud, who is quickly becoming a superstar quarterback in the NFL, wasn’t enough of a boost in the right direction for the lowly Texans, Dell has turned out to be one of the best young wide receivers in the game.

Even though he only played 11 games during his rookie campaign, he made a massive impression in Houston, racking up over 700 receiving yards and seven touchdowns while becoming a go-to option for Stroud in the passing game.

Not only was Dell impressive in his first year in Houston, but like Tyreek Hill during his career, he’s been able to do it as a wideout under six feet tall, which prompted the question to the promising young wideout about the best-undersized athletes of all time via the team’s Twitter account.

Dell named Maurice Jones-Drew, Darren Sproles, Gervonta Davis, Floyd Mayweather, and Spud Webb.

That’s a pretty solid list from Dell, even though he didn’t mention Hill, who is arguably in the conversation for being the best wide receiver in the NFL right now while playing for the Miami Dolphins.

As for Dell’s immediate future, if he can stay healthy moving forward, he could quickly become one of the best wide receivers in the NFL while sharing the spotlight with Stroud and veteran newcomer Stefon Diggs in Houston.
