Taylor Pendrith’s Winning Clubs Revealed: A Breakdown of His Equipment at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson

Taylor Pendrit

Taylor Pendrith was aided in his cause to win the Byron Nelson by clubs from Ping, Srixon, Cleveland and Odyssey.

The 32-year-old Canadian used his Odyssey Jailbird Versa to hole a short putt for birdie Sunday at the par-5 finisher to win his first PGA TOUR title in 74 starts.

Pendrith was over the moon at the win.

“It was all a blur, the last hour,” Pendrith said. “To finally get it done feels unbelievable.

“I’ve held the 54-hole lead before and haven’t got it done,” Pendrith said. “Learned a lot from that and tried to be a little better today and stay in my own lane and just put my head down and go to work. To come out on top feels unreal.”

Off the tees, he has usually turned to his Ping G430 LST driver. He has the low-spin version of the G430 for his driver which is lofted at nine degrees.

Pendrith also uses a Ping G430 Max 3-wood and a Ping G425 Max 7-wood.

His yardage gapping might be a bit of a puzzle given that he has a 2 and 3-iron in his bag as well. Those irons are both Srixon ZXs with Project X HZRDUS Smoke Black 6.5 100 True Temper shafts.

For the rest of his iron array, Pendrith turns to the Srixon ZX7 Mk II range form 4-9 iron.

He uses four wedges from Cleveland RTX 6 Tour Rack as he doesn’t have a pitching wedge in his irons collection. He starts his wedges with a 46-10 Mid, up to 52-10 Mid, on up to 56-10 Mid, and finishing off with 60-9 Full.

His Odyssey Jailbird Versa served him well in claiming the Byron Nelson.
