Terry Rozier Takes Shot at Hornets Following Departure

Terry Rozier was hooping at Charlotte, which ultimately got him traded to Miami and he has pointed out the stark difference between the two organizations.

The veteran guard spent the last four and a bit seasons with the Hornets, who finished close to the bottom of the Eastern Conference on each of those occasions.

Although he has only played four games for the Heat, Rozier has noticed a massive difference in culture between the Charlotte and Miami.

“It’s the total opposite,” said Rozier. “When you’re in Charlotte, you’re kind of used to losing. It’s kind of your DNA and it sucks to say that because of how much of a competitor I am but, over here, it’s the total opposite. No one wants to lose. No one says is fine with it.”

Rozier added, “It’s no secret. Everybody knows the difference between some organizations in the league”.

Miami are in the midst of a seven-game losing streak, their worst stint since the 2007-08 season – where they only won a total of 15 games.

Having Tyler Herro and Terry Rozier as the Heat’s starting backcourt hasn’t seemed to help the team get back in the winner’s circle as yet.

Head coach Erik Spoelstra doesn’t seem to want to move away from that combination anytime soon either.

He was asked if he believes whether Rozier and Herro can thrive as Miami’s guards.

“Yes, I do,” he said.

Spoelstra elaborated, ““We have enough where our guys can all be plus defenders in our system, including those two. They bring great speed and quickness at their positions.”

Miami will attempt to snap out of their seven-game losing streak as they face the Kings on Wednesday night, who have a 27-18 record and are in fifth place in the West.
