The Chicago Bulls have reportedly offered veteran forward DeMar DeRozan a two-year contract worth up to $40 million annually.
DeRozan, who is currently an unrestricted free agent, has the option to sign a three-year deal, either as an extension or in free agency. However, due to the NBA’s Over-38 rule, he cannot sign a contract longer than three seasons, as he will turn 35 next season.
Arturas Karnisovas, the Bulls’ VP of Basketball Operations, has highlighted the need for roster adjustments while expressing the team’s desire to keep DeRozan.
DeRozan himself has shown interest in remaining with the Bulls and has expressed his desire to compete for a championship.
